Hangzhou CityScapes
The part we visited, West Lake, was a huge lake bordered on three sides by mountains filled with ancient temples and shrines where the ruling class of ancient China would come for refreshsment.  We only got to see a small portion of this magnificent place including a Buddhist pagoda, the tomb of Yue Fei (the inventer of Xingyiquan, one of the three internal styles of martial arts), and a tea house.  In all, Hangzhou gave us an excellent introduction to the look and feel of ancient China.
