The first and second pictures in this series show two of the elaborate ancient Chinese gates, or "men."  Thirty-one different acupunture points use this word as a symbol of different ways that the Qi flows within the body/mind.  Some examples include "Water Gate," "Spirit Gate," "Dark and Subtle Gate," "Gate of Abundance," "Gate of Darkness," "Gate of the Uterus," "Gate of Eloquence," and "Gate of Destiny."
For a complete discussion of all of these names and their application to acupuncture energetics
